Where do you celebrate Burn's night locally? I've usually just cooked up a nice meal, broke out the whiskey and candles and had the neighbors over for semi drunken attempts at reciting a few poems. Any places to embarrass ourselves publicly?

TIL of such a thing called Burns Night.

"Burns Night is an annual celebration of Scotland’s most famous poet – a man called Robert Burns."

It is a pretty obscure holiday, but we enjoy having an excuse to visit with friends, drink a strong drink, make comfort food, and read poetry over drinks while struggling over the pronunciation. It's become a goofy tradition for us.
