Garnetts does a $30 date night meal and will provide picnic baskets to take to the park across the street.

Go to Chilis and start an argument with others in the restaurant for no reason.

Do you like board games? Unplugged Cafe in midlothian has food drinks and board games

Go see local music even if you don’t know the band. Follow restlessrva and Richmondalternative on instagram and just show up to something. The Camel, Fuzzy Cactus, Gallery 5 are all great venues.

You can also check out our game group at @scottsadditionboardgames, we will be at Isley Brewery tomorrow night with lots of other 20s-30s people you can meet.

Edit: and Get Tight lounge, they’ve been having great shows

I LOVE the Camel!!! They’ve had some of my favorite bands play there and their beer is reasonably priced!

This wouldn’t work until it warms up but grab a pizza from 8 1/2 and have a little picnic in Scuffletown park. In the summer there’s also live music on I think Tuesday evenings. Follow it up with some ice cream at Scoop.

This is one of the bests. Go shop for wine/beer/extra snacks at Strawberry St. Market while you wait for your pizza to be ready.

I went to Hotel Greene last night and had a blast. They offer a Thursday Date Night spesh. It costs $55 for two people & includes two plates, two drinks, and one round of mini golf per person. 🤙

Mise En Place offers cute date night cooking classes. Normally NOT our thing at all but ended up being so fun and great memories for us. 🥰

We could get an “escape room” together, because I want to try it and I don’t have any friends here?

drakesword t1_j63dtps wrote

I have done this many times. Now I have 7 people chained up in my basement.

River City Roll - more of an upscale high end bowling alley in Scott's Addition, appealing to the 20s and 30s crowd

Muse Paintbar at Willow Lawn

Escape Room - There's a ton of them in Richmond and are always fun to do

Canal Club - Check out local and traveling indie bands/artists

Rage RVA

The Circuit Arcade Bar

Top Golf

Hedgecore138 t1_j63m2ux wrote

I feel like the Circuit is falling apart, and the "non-service" service is problematic. Bingo is not too far from there, has better-maintained games, plus a rotating schedule of social events [for better or for worse, depending on what night of the week].

Walk across TYLER POTTERFIELD MEMORIAL BRIDGE and get a beer at Legends

Richmond mural walking tour

Richmond food tour

Salsa dancing lessons at Havana 59

Bike on the virginia capital trail into the city and eat at casa del barco on the canal walk

Or, hear me out, don't eat at casa del barco and just walk a bit further into town.

Full disclosure, it was pre-covid and I'm sure the group has shuffled around a bit, but it's also just the kind of vibe that draws creeper culture types.

I appreciate crude and perverted humor but I need to know the person first, when you make it your base and up front acceptable, it's harder to screen out which ones aren't joking.

Every 4th Friday there is a Jazz night at Gallery 5, we do drinks there then dinner somewhere close by after!

Hitcher06 t1_j648rts wrote

Is it live jazz? I see on their calendar a DJ is listed

sourchewycandy t1_j648w1k wrote

Haha yea it’s live jazz! Maybe a dj is first? But we have only ever seen live musicians on jazz night

More of a date day and best when warmer but definitely Canopy Adventure Park for the ropes course and zip lines!

Full disclosure: I’m one of the owners but I truly believe it to be a hell of a date day!
