This lines up with expiriences of low sugar eaters. Sugar sensitivity goes the way up and people can't eat too sweet food.

So true! I cut way back on dessert and now I find almost all processed sweets unpalatable - it just tastes like sugar with no flavor at all. I now prefer a tiny bit of dark chocolate. Sugar is so bad for the body, ruins teeth. I encourage anyone to cut it way down. Plus I think my taste buds have recovered a bit to enjoy fresh food more too.

I just stopped consuming sugar in what i drink and that difference alone is pretty wild.

After cutting added sugar from my diet (ie. black coffee vs. cream and sugar) i could no longer tolerate the taste of certain foods like ketchup because they became too sweet.

I go with the primal Paleo brand of ketchup, much better.

I wonder if there is anything that doesn't have this kind of reaction. Is there any food where high exposure doesn't have people acclimatise to it.

I just stopped eating sweets for a while. Not for any particular reason but when I tried something I used to like, blaugh! It was disgustingly sweet and felt like my teeth were melting.

That explains why when I go ultra low sugar and I drink anything like a soda when transitioning out it tastes so strange.
