Canada isn't mentioned even once in the linked article, so you'll need to look elsewhere for data relating to this specifically.

Quick peek from the biggest performance data related to national covid response, comparing USA and Canada for total cases/population, and deaths/population, USA was about 300% more severe in both metrics. So, it's likely the immediate effects on life expectancy follow that comparative trend.

here's the latest figures from statcan that I could find (2021 data may not yet be available), specifically relating to life expectancy impacts: https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/91f0015m/91f0015m2021002-eng.htm

Norway and Finland both have a population much smaller than Canada so it really odd that Canada would be missing. I wonder why.

Why would size be a concern?

These researchers are from Europe. The US and Chile are apparently included here only for the sake of comparison.

I would love to know as well. Considering that the United States and Canada are pretty similiar health wise, we can assume Canada's stats are similar to the United States.

Well we have completely different health care systems, and Canadians are statistically far more willing to get vaccinated and wear masks AFAIK so I guess you could say they're pretty similar, if you think that "pretty similar" means "completely different. Otherwise I have no idea what you're talking about

The US cares about healthcare in the way they like to design drugs to troll patent laws and make sure no one can access or afford them.
