A welcome change, but they will need to make chatGPT faster to respond if they want people to be able to really use it on the fly

The hourly rate limits is something that probably needs to be addressed for power users. Especially when CGPT is wrong a lot and requires a lot of rewording

I think they should do like a free, $5 a month, $20 a month system, where free is limited $5 is less limited ai, faster and more per hour, and $20 is near unlimited(need anti bot system) full ai capability, and fastest response times.

I feel like that will allow most people to either use for free or only as much as a music app, while power users can really get the most out of it, and it’s worth $20 to them.

I think that 20$ a month is still way too much for a primitive AI. 5$ a month for full capabilities would be alright though. Maybe a model where you buy it for lifetime for 250 dollars could be alright as well. It's still a very limited AI. Maybe GPT4 would be worth the 20$ but that's my opinion I guess.

If AI takes off then in a few years using gpt4 will be like using a trs80 with 4KB ram and a tape drive.

That's why I said it's too expensive for a subscription with 20 dollars a month. We're in the AI wars between companies right now. We will be seeing a lot of alternatives in 2023 to chatGPT,the price model they chose is kind of ridiculous considering Bing will have GPT4. Idk this is very weird.

They’re saying each print costs up at 5 cents, so that’s only 20 prompts for $1, kinda spendy.

I didnt really consider it but you're right in that they should act as fast as possible before google starts releasing ai products. The ceos must feel like Indiana Jones with that big google boulder coming after them.

What will these kids do in the future when they don't have chatGPT 3.5? Use chatGPT 35?

Yes. The technology isn't going to get worse, it's only going to improve from here on. It's the "you won't always have a calculator in your pocket" debate all over again, which surprisingly you do have in your pocket all the time. I'm not at all saying calculators made math education useless, not at all. It's still as important as ever, it's just that we have to adapt. Crunching big numbers in your head isn't that important anymore, you just have to know how it's done and how to use the available tools to get what you want.

Education will need to adapt again.

For iOS, Turned out we can already have our own shortcut and even Siri can connect ChatGPT by itself with an api key which is free. I was about to buy one of those 3rd party apps this saved my day!

Smartest Siri with ChatGPT

What I liked so far compared to others shortcuts, this one is very close how you normally speak with Siri, there are now extra questions like ‘do you want to continue’ ..etc.
