I will be an aged man when I take my first ftl flights aboard the ship of my own design. I can hoe that as the inventor of fusion, general artificial intelligence, and faster than light travel people will take my life choice seriously, and consider why one of civilizations smartest most capable people isn't interested in a technology supposedly meant for the benefit of all.
