We could fix it already if we really wanted to. But it's just not something we prioritize.

In a post-singularity world we would probably have very different attitudes towards wealth and status, so I wouldn't worry too much about this. It's the pre-singularity world that's the problem.

I agree, and that's the optimism of the post. Hopefully we get a sort of revolution long before the singularity. Otherwise it will be a very brutal road toward the singularity. But personally, unless the singularity occurs much quicker than I think it will, there will definitely have to be a transformation of society in the coming years.
