I am actually not against AI at all - in fact, I considered going into it at one time (and still might, especially because the danger seems to be growing and there are some philosophical technical talents I might be able to apply to a lot of specific AI problems).

So... it's going to replace all of our jobs. The other thing we need to get ahead on is actually getting UBI pushed through.

I'd be willing to fear-monger to get UBI pushed, especially with the way that conservatives tend to act.

So then and correct me if I’m missing your point but your not against AI just using it as a scare tactic to push people towards implementing a universal basic income?

He has a problem where he cannot distinguish philosophy from technology. Somehow dude even thinks he has relevant skills that AI research would need. Guess he is advertising for himself? He is pushing it as a scary tactic while thinking he might be the potential savior.

I mean, it’s ok, I can understand dude. It’s a legit approach when having a psychotic episode. I am even worse in mine, I keep thinking I have to call Elon Musk back about Neuralink, language and semantics processing and electroencephalography. Good I don’t have his number. But still. I dunno, OP is kinda not being nice here in this thread.
