I was just outside and saw 3 meteors streaking past Orion. If you're reading this in the northern hemisphere and the skies are clear, go outside and take a look. I googled it and low and behold, one of the best annual meteor showers is happening right now https://www.space.com/34373-orionid-meteor-shower-guide.html

I share your disappointment. Also live in Washington and see nothing but clouds in the sky. Maybe next year! The smoke from the fires has been killing me lately, so I am also very thankful for this rain.
