That's not how it works. Cars and electronics around the world in general are going to be similarly priced in similar because of global network of manufacturing and cost. So an entry level dslr is a dslr that is a basic one with some features for beginners to start with. Moreover just because average wage is low doesn't mean the person buying it is themselves poor. Even with a small upper middle class by percentage, the number is likely to be much higher than UK because of the size of population

Percentage of income is my reference point, not price at point of sale. I use an Argentinan VPN to pay 10% what I do in the UK because multinational companies charge what they can get away with in any given country based on their average wage.
