I was looking forward to the Saturday regime. It’s a shame that they picked a real candidate.

First order of biz is trading up to snag QB from Bears. 😁

EDIT: Funny how this gets downvoted. I'll be back if this happens! lol

So whoever he picks as his OC will be the next Eagles HC; I get it now

Pretty sure that’s Zach Braff. Or possibly John Krasinski.

Now Derek Carr is the only qb that will ever lose to a Jeff Saturday head coaches team

Awesome! And now they just need to make more points than the other team to win games.

I thought Saturday did pretty good considering what he was working with. Had a few one score losses. I think if they gave him the opportunity next season he would have improved them.

Eagles playbook has involved an athletic, mobile quarterback. And Hurts is a generational talent. So Erhlinger or draft??

Just posting to say he was my qb in High School. Great guy and both his brothers were great qb’s as well. Our team also featured Austin Collie who went on to set several receiving records for BYU before playing with the Colts, and Seyi Ajirotutu who played for the Chargers. Go Oak Ridge!!!

Way to go Shane!!! Making the old team proud!

I don't know, I still think our offense was 2 simple but hurts made it work. Offense looked terrible without hurts in there and with the talent on offense any back up should be able to win 1 of 2 games

karters221 t1_j8l8ezm wrote

My 2 thoughts are he has been told he takes over after Reid and Reid has an actual retirement year planned. Or he just wants to stay with the chiefs and win.
Otherwise it makes no sense he doesn't get a head coach job

TurdWranglin t1_j8l8yxx wrote

Something is up with that, and while the NFL has a race problem, I don’t think his current situation is due to only that. He’s had 17 interviews with 16 teams and still hasn’t been offered a job, which makes me think that he’s a really shitty interviewee or something else is going on we don’t know about. Being a non play calling OC with a GOAT coach and a likely to be GOAT QB could also be seen as a knock against him. He needs to go somewhere else and call plays and then I think front offices would be more comfortable taking him.

3

bogboom t1_j8l9dyg wrote

I think he will need to leave the Chiefs to get that HC job. Everyone knows Reid designs and calls the plays in KC. Bieniemy will have a better chance if he goes as an OC to a team where he’s calling the plays and 100% in control of designing the offence.

facecraft t1_j8lbb52 wrote

It has been reported many times that there are just serious concerns about him as a head coach from interviews. I'm sure the DUI and various other off-field issues don't help.

Demeco got a job so fast, it's obvious this isn't a race thing after all this time. If Bienemy was an impressive candidate, he'd be a head coach by now.

Ollivander451 t1_j8lsrjj wrote

Reid, Mahomes, and Bieniemy have all stated repeatedly in interviews that EB is the play caller. Obviously Pat and Andy chime in play suggestions, but according to the word out of everyone at Arrowhead, Bieniemy calls the plays.

TurdWranglin t1_j8mzywp wrote

He’s saying he helps build the call sheet for the week. Andy Reid is the one with the headset that goes to the QB. He trusts Bienemy to have ideas, but Reid is the one that actually calls the plays in to the QB.
