You gotta feel for Trey Lance...

I love it for Purdy Mr. Irrelevant to Mr. Relevant in one year good for him 🏉🏉🏉

Trade him to the jets. I'm not a jets fan, but my college roommate was, and I can't see him like this anymore. If the jets trade their first for a-rod, he's gonna go insane.

He has a chance this year since Purdy will likely miss a lot of time with his injury.

Hope he gets out of there and dominates (Pls not the packers tho cant take him destroying my team with watson like he did to my salukis in college).

He should be after last season. Can you imagine how dangerous they could be if they trade lance to get picks or a defensive weapon? They would be a super bowl contender with a qb making $870k a year. he may be the cheapest starting QB in the NFL

DemSumBigAssRidges t1_jdwnzcs wrote

Plus, it doesn't matter how he does. His NFL career was supposed to be "guy who brings donuts to the QB meetings." I'm happy for him, and I hope he does well!

What picks are you gonna get for Lance. He hasn’t proven himself at all

Matthew_C1314 t1_jdymesg wrote

He’s still a 23 year old quarterback that was worth a top 3 pick two years ago. He hasn’t tainted himself either. Usually this conversation happens after a pick bombs. I don’t think they are getting any first rounders for him simply because they’ve already wasted 2 years of his rookie contract. But they won’t have any problem getting a team to take the cap and some late rounders in Return.

Colts would be a great spot for Lance. Similar attributes that Hurts had with Steichen (spelling?). Colts do a 3 way draft day trade where they trade down to acquire picks with someone that maybe wants Richardson and then send some kind of package to the 49ers for Lance.

Brady comes in when all their qbs get hurt and wins a Super Bowl. Calling my shot.

bkmobbin t1_jdy3shx wrote

Sheeeesh. I’d be fine with that in a way just cause of all the niners QB injuries

ToeKnail t1_jdy12p1 wrote

His new arm won't last a season

Individual_Scheme_11 t1_jdxmp5y wrote

Well our 1st string gets hurt, so Trey Lance era full speed ahead!

dbell t1_jdyi0tt wrote

I sure fucking hope so.

Modavo t1_jdxgf0w wrote

That's so stupid. They traded so much draft capital to get Lance.

Riolater t1_jdxjyi0 wrote

Stupid would be playing Lance, who has very clearly been outplayed by purdy.

AgelessBlakeFerguson t1_jdxm0lj wrote

He wears 13 and grilled my Phins when Jimmy G went down. He has my respect. Just needs the old school 3 bar QB facemask to complete the look.

AgelessBlakeFerguson t1_jdxluxr wrote

Josh Rosen wut?

2

Modavo t1_jdxm049 wrote

Would rather have Rosen than Kyler tbh. Kyler overpaid reliant on legs

AgelessBlakeFerguson t1_jdxmrgm wrote

I agree, but they could still net some of that back in a trade. There has to be a team that would give a first and plus right now for Lance.

1

Modavo t1_jdxn54v wrote

They could probly get the colts. They have no plan at qb

2

cocoacowstout t1_jdyw5n0 wrote

But we traded nothing to get Brock Purdy, so it kind of evens out. Trey is still an unknown at this point

2

HessLook t1_jdx6x9y wrote

Trade for Lamar!

−12

Guywithnoname85 t1_jdxh4bp wrote

Why?

3

PornstarVirgin t1_jdxofbu wrote

To blow all cap space and ruin the team!

14

HessLook t1_jdxzs5n wrote

Ruin… ruin.. the team? Lmao. Brock > Lamar ?! What are you smoking? Pass some!

−9

PornstarVirgin t1_jdy167r wrote

If you understood anything about cap you’d know that the addition of Lamar would equal losing a lot of key talent

4

HessLook t1_jdxzntc wrote

Oh yeah Trey lance and Brock are better than Lamar….?!? Lmao

−5

Guywithnoname85 t1_je4t7s4 wrote

No but they'd have to lose a bunch of stars in other parts of the field in order to #1 trade for Lamar and #2 afford the massive contract he wants. That's not to mention his injury history which we've already had enough of. Why would they give up all that draft capitol and good players in order to get another injury prone QB who's gonna be expensive as hell?

Equivalent-Chest5383 t1_jdwqf50 wrote

Ian doesn’t know shit. This is hearsay

−16

Magnatz t1_jdwrnzv wrote

Jon Lynch literally said as much this morning.

"I think Brock has earned the right with the way he played that he's probably the leader in the clubhouse at that,"

Ian is quoting the GM

12

Equivalent-Chest5383 t1_jdwslfu wrote

Then why isn’t this a Lynch quote and instead Rapaport acting like it’s a scoop
