About $1.7 million will go to the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency.

Always interesting to see that the majority of these how much of these multimillion dollar suits are typically fees and expenses and not actual payments to the plaintiffs.

That is just insane.

And close to a million for "settlement administration expenses" is more insane, isn't that just a fancy way to say we're paying a million dollars so they can wire the money?

Are you exaggerating or am I misunderstanding something? It's a $185 million settlement, of which ~$60 million is going towards fees and expenses, leaving $120 million for the plaintiffs?

Maybe I'm reading it wrong. From my understanding, the plaintiffs are sharing $600,000. An individual plaintiff is receiving a payment of $15,000 or $7,500, depending on their group.

There's a bunch of numbers there, so if I'm wrong, I apologize.

EDIT: yep, I misunderstood. $600,000 to the REPRESENTATIVES. The other $120 million goes to the players.

According to the article players can expect up to $5500 and it depends on their amount of play … it quoted saying one guy was going to get ~$135…

What’s a litigation cost?

Litigation costs are the fees spent pursuing or defending a legal claim or litigation. These charges may include attorney's fees, court filing fees, expert witness fees, and other costs associated with case preparation and presentation. In this case, it looks like the attorney fees and other litigation fees were separated.
