2 drivers this year in NASCAR have gotten concussions with the new car being unsafe and have had their seasons cut short. One driver, Kurt Busch (Wallace’s teammate) just announced he is retiring due to his head injury. Wallace himself has deemed this car unsafe. Today, Bubba Wallace decided it would be a good idea to right hook Larson into a wall drivers-side first at 180 mph. Then thought it would be a good idea to attack Larson when he exited his car. Complete embarrassment for himself and the sport. Lack of awareness and empathy.

It really is Unbelievable. First Bubba tried to kill kyle larson by spinning him out at 180mph by what it looks like, than he confirms his anger by assaulting him..

If NASCAR doesn’t give him a fine or suspension then they’re a joke. You’re right, it could have killed him or turned his brain to mush. I wouldn’t be surprised if Larson has concussion like systems. Rule #1 is racing is don’t right rear someone head on into the wall. Then he doubled down in his interview and acted like a pompous douche. Told the interviewer to “stop fishing” when asked if wrecking someone at 180 mph was unsafe. Compared to Larson who gave a sympathetic and professional interview after being put in danger and then attacked. Even worse his BOSS has been the #1 advocate for safer racecars. Disgusting stuff across the board. Like, how can you be that stupid?

Ok. I just read this dude Larson was fired from his team a few years ago for saying a racial slur. So obviously these two have some history. But still, what Wallace did was fucking dangerous and could have gotten other drivers killed

I don’t think that has much to do with it. I mean you never know but I doubt it. These two have been around each other racing since they were teenagers. That’s why I was surprised Bubba put him in a dangerous spot like that. After the slur thing, Bubba was one of the first people to come out and say he knows Larson personally and knows he’s isn’t a racist, just said something dumb. He and Larson helped with an urban youth racing school together for years before it. I agree though, the slur things makes this situation a little more complicated because even if Larson wanted to, he CANT fight back. But yeah, he potentially gave the guy a brain injury and then decided to go push him around after lol, just stupid.

Bubba Wallace is a big baby. He didn't like that Larson was racing hard and bumped him into the wall so he nose dived down the track to spear Larson, wrecking both cars out of the race as well as another guy who was racing for the playoffs. Then when out of the cars Bubba went over and started shoving Larson again.

Bubba is one of the stars of the sport and basically pulled a dumbass and downright dangerous move early on in the race as in not even half the race was done. A lot of us root for bubba knowing the causes he’s behind and all but any driver who did what he did would be called for getting suspended for a race at minimum.

Actual context. Kyle Larson made a low pass on Kevin Harvick and Bubba Wallace. Kevin Harvick backed out but bubba kept racing. Kyle Larson took the turn too fast and had to move further and further up the track. Bubba ran out of track and made contact with the wall. He then turned back down the track and hit Larson in the right rear spinning his car and taking him out of the race. After both cars were wrecked Bubba got out of his car and walked down the track to yell at and shove Larson.

My biggest take away from all of that was Larson just letting himself get pushed multiple times. Come on on man bow up and stand up for yourself. At the very least shouldnt have been turning away from him.

uhhhh yeah, and hit the golden quota driver. This incident was commentary on life in the united states currently. had larson retaliated wallace would be the victim and we'd all be hearing about nooses in the garage again. wallace is a scumbag.

What people don't know is that Larson and Bubba have been friends for a very long time. Like, outside the sport. This was Larson being the bigger person and just handling it like a champion.

Yeah this about a guy right rearing someone head on into a wall at 180 mph when there’s been multiple head injuries this year in the sport. If you think that behavior is ok then that’s your problem not mine. There is no deeper meaning here. One driver had a serious lapse of judgment and awareness and could have hurt someone. You didn’t “check” anything.

Ironically with the current economic model of the sport about 90% of the drivers are rich or come from rich families, you basically have to buy your way into getting opportunities to show you're good.
