It appears as though there is no one left in donda sports besides AB

Are we sure that it's not just Tom Brady with AB's face photoshopped onto his body?

AB will never leave Donda Sports haha he's got nothing left to lose at this point and his reputation is already utter shite.

Can’t believe he was the president of Donda sports lol. Now he’s on twitter shooting his shot at Tom Brady wife.

It’s funny because he’s actually great at quitting in a spectacular fashion

Best-Jello t1_itu062s wrote

Jaylen Brown initially said he wasn’t leaving - until he saw all the backlash and other company responses and then decided to leave too. Proves he’s just doing it to avoid any backlash for himself instead of out of his own beliefs and condemnation.

Don’t get me wrong, it is a good thing he’s eventually decided to leave, but it’s disappointing his first statement was that he wouldn’t be making any change.

AvatarAarow1 t1_itud1mv wrote

Yeah, between that and Jaylen’s recent antivax bs I’ve really stopped liking him. He’s a solid baller but he’s got some real dumb and bad beliefs and behaviors

Most of these ppl are not educated. Not a single person should give any credence to anything they say outside of the realm of basketball.

I mean Jaylen is one of the more educated NBA players though tbh. He went to cal which is a very good school and was a media fellow to the NBA. Seems to be pretty well-educated on things like income and education inequality and has done lots of stuff to try and help that. He seemed like a genuinely smart dude, but given the whole anti-vax shit and this thing where he said he wouldn’t leave Donda sports prior to the backlash I am starting to renege on that belief lol

−41

devilishycleverchap t1_ituvha7 wrote

Going to school for 1 year where your life is dedicated to a basketball season before you enter the draft is not what I would really call going to Cal.

His major was even sports related

Someone said “smart move”. Someone replied “no, Jaylen brown”. Someone replied “underrated” which to me meant underrated comment. You replied “reference?” Which to me meant you were wondering why “no, Jaylen brown” is an underrated comment.

The answer is because Marcus “smart” is also a star on the Boston Celtics.

dont_worry_im_here t1_itu998v wrote

Aaah! Yea, you had all the steps right. I didn't piece together the "smart move" and Smart the player connection. Appreciate it.

It’s worth nothing that two days ago Brown was questioned about this and doubled down on staying with Ye. It wasn’t till adidas and Aaron Donald bolted that he decided to finally jump on the bandwagon. For anyone taking notes, he rode the “support Kanye” bandwagon until it was pretty much career suicide not to, then jumped ship to the new “fuck kanye” bandwagon. This dude is a clown and doesn’t deserve any praise.

Dude, they tried to overturn the election with a mob. That's not conservative in any way. Yet conservatives still support the Republican party. So tell me again about the value of conservatism.

47

BOYMAN7 t1_ituh9x0 wrote

I'm not a conservative myself and I'm not American but you can't say conservatism is illegitimate just because of some stupid individuals

Strolltheroll t1_itu3i8n wrote

January 6th was a coup by definition. Anybody who still supports the regressive beliefs of the Republican Party is anti-American and anti-democratic.

38

vancityvic t1_itu6dmi wrote

They have no policies to make America better. They just attack but have no plans how to improve things. They want to tank every thing and then privatize it for corporate ownership

32

BOYMAN7 t1_ituh2am wrote

You are right but just wanted to tell you that the Democrats are just as bad. If you understand American history and what USA truly is today you can get a better understanding. My point is that both parties are sides of the same coin

−45

RobbStark t1_itundeh wrote

Strong disagree. Democrats still believe in the rule of law, the democratic process, and haven't tried to overthrow the federal government.

They also have no problem kicking people out of power that have broken laws or even just violated accepted standards of behavior.

21

BOYMAN7 t1_ituokgk wrote

That's obviously because they want votes. If I were to run a political party I wouldn't say stupid things. I would be diplomatic.

−25

Strolltheroll t1_iturnuh wrote

A political party should be doing positive things to get my vote. If they stop doing things that I like, they do not get my vote. That’s kinda the great thing about democracy.

13

Strolltheroll t1_ituj70r wrote

This isn’t the rhetorical slam dunk you think it is, but go on.

12

BOYMAN7 t1_itukcz3 wrote

Well, I knew I would get this response telling Americans USA sucks so it wasn't really intended to be a slam dunk.

If you have done a lot of research on the constitution and political affairs of USA, and you think I'm wrong that's fine. But if you haven't read any books or read online I think it's unfair of you to dismiss the possibility. Kanye said Bush doesn't care about black people, I think the USA doesn't care about its citizens. In the EU they protect the people a lot more extensively.

−22

Strolltheroll t1_iturbkn wrote

Lmao, I have one of the best public educations in the country, a degree in English with a literature concentration, and am currently in law school. My knowledge of American political history is pretty deep and intimate.

I agree that many US elites do not care about the proletariat. The Republican Party is overwhelmingly trying to strip freedom from citizens. The policies of the democrats are more in favor of those who labour so I vote in that interest.

If you knew about american you’d know it’s pointless to judge either one on their past. The Republican Party hasn’t been progressive since Roosevelt, and the democrats lost their conservatives following the voting rights act. It’s much more imperative to vote on policy, of which the Republican Party really has none.
