Oh, but on checking Netherlands coming top 4 in their group today would still allow them to skip the qualification stage.

They certainly do want to automatically be in those 20 teams.

Yes, they had everything to play for. If Pakistan beats Bangladesh and India beat Zimbabwe, Netherlands qualifies.

They definitely need Zimbabwe to not beat India but they can benefit from a Bangladesh win as long as it's by an absurdly large Net Run Rate.

In the sports I follow: League, Union, and Cricket, its always good to see an emerging nation pull off a win. It's great for the team, and helps promote that particular game in their home country, and just makes their fans happy.

South African cricket is a mixture of bad luck and utter incompetence.

This world cup has been utter madness. 2024 World T20 at this rate is going to be amazing with 20 teams. And it's also happening in the Carribean.

Scotland beat the West Indies

Ireland beat the West Indies

Zimbabwe beat Pakistan

The Netherlands beat Zimbabwe (not a huge upset ofc, but still)

This T20 WC has been the best of the lot so far in this format, and is also definitely right up there with one of the best world tournaments in this sport. So many big upsets and close games in a single tournament! What a T20 WC we're having!

I would argue that test cricket is not. ODI is good. T20 is the most entertaining.

Test cricket is really good only if you are really into the game. Also Test cricket is better when the conditions are slightly more favorable to the bowlers
