Whilst I am a fan of the English cricket team, I was wanting a Pakistan/India final. Their matches are riddled with controversy.

Honestly I thought it would be difficult given how India came back in the second half of their innings. So good from Buttler and Hales

I’ve been on a flight so just getting the scores through but couldn’t watch the game. Sounds like I missed an absolute classic. Masterclass from Buttler and Hales by the sound of it.

Pakistan - here we come!!

I honestly thought we could have held them to a lower score, pandya sent the ball to all parts against Curran and Jordan after they had a really slow start. Don’t know what I was worried about!

Not sure about controversy, but they are absolute BANGERS.

Those matches are definitely all about national pride. I might be wrong, but i bet an Indian person would tell you they would rather lose to England in the semi-final than to lose against Pakistan in the final lol.

All you cricket fans out there. Why doesn't countries like Canada and US have teams out there? Especially for a tournament like this?

Didn’t qualify. Canada didn’t do well in qualifying at all, while the US were one match away, but lost to the Netherlands. However the States are guaranteed to play in the next tournament, as they are co-hosts.

Game don’t make any sense.

They won by 10 wickets with 4 overs and they hit the moon on that one, queen of spades jelly beans.

That’s an official score of a game ^

The tournament had 2 group stages before this, with an additional qualifier to decide 4 teams that make it to the first group stage. Canada didn't make the playoff in their qualifier, while the US was a game away and lost to the Netherlands.

As a sidenote, the US and West Indies are hosting the next world cup in 2024, and therefore will automatically qualify.

Good luck to your team but I'll be praying it's a repeat of 1992. Then we can all say "Qudrat Ka Nizaam" (Law of nature).

Good luck my British bros, may the best team win.

Alex Hales was just absolutely brilliant along with Buttler. I hope you guys at least lose couple of wickets against us on Sunday. Hoping Pace is Pace bros restrict you all to 135 if you bat first, or at least us scoring 175+.

This tournament has been a pure fireworks and chaos (in a good way).

You have to look at Cricket in Tiers. Based on performances and points, teams move up and down in ranking. The Super 8 automatically qualify, after that are qualifiers and so on. U.S.A. was in the qualification group with UAE (i think) and didn't fair too well. U.S.A. is ranked 25th, Canada 20th.

Canada are pretty much guaranteed to play the next too, as both Windies and the USA get byes and they've switched to straight regional qualifying (to save money). Consequently Canada and PNG are basically getting their spots handed to them.

Probably the most impressive things about England making it this far is how weakened their squad is. Wood, Topley and Archer are three first-choice bowling options all out (Wood's probably been the bowler of the tournament so far), and missing Roy, Bairstow and Malan.

I thought the 7-match Eng-Pak series was overkill, but now it just looks like a comprehensive dress rehearsal.

Eerily similar to the 92 World Cup - which would mean, if you're into signs and wonders, that Pak will win a terrific final, with Shaheen MOTM playing the modern Wasim substitute.

At least now we know one team is getting destroyed in the final. There's no way Pakistan is going to give us a thriller, either they'll crumble big time or absolutely destroy England, nothing in between. (Source: trust me bro, I'm Pakistani.)
