Late hit was the right call but those mistakes happen all the time.
My man got mobbed, had his helmet ripped off, and punched. No USF player was thrown out and the rest of the UCF team got unsportsmanlike penalties for it along with the USF bench that actually deserved it.
That's a lazy ref crew not actually officiating what happened on the field.
