During this WC Argentina vs Australia and France vs Denmark. Also his country was defeated by both so it seems it's the best decision

He screwed Australia in that game. We were Cleary the dominant side all game and he just handed it to the Argentinians because FIFA wanted the powerhouses like Australia out of the tournament.

You had me hook, line and sinker until the last sentence.

In all seriousness though, I felt that Aus did pretty well against Argentina. We just don't have a 'killer striker' who can change the flow of a game.

So Australia is basically at Argentina's level, you just don't have a really really good striker?

Lol yeah that is quite the stretch. You could probably use a good keeper as well. And a couple more defenders. And a good central midfielder. And a forward. And some depth on the bench. But yeah, you’re at Argentina’s level.

Australia has shooters. They’re just not name brand.

Oh wow so his crew didn’t work any quarters or semis? That seems odd no? Although I do get the need to have officials with no country ties…

I didn't watch France vs Denmark very closely but the refereeing seemed fine there. In Argentina vs Australia i felt like the ref got fooled too often by Argentina's diving (especially Acuna) but other than that was ok.

This ref is probably the least controversial choice they could've made which I'm fine with.

He’ll be a busy little Ref if and when France go up by 2 goals and Argentina start playing dirty.
