Okay, can we stop having athletes suffer horrific injuries this year?

Hockey players are different. MN Twins catcher Mitch Garver once took a foul tip ball to his balls and basically had to have emergency surgery.

Adrenaline is one hell of a painkiller.

I know it's not comparable, but I once finished a cross-country ski race where I fell halfway through and my nose started to bleed. I did not feel the pain at all, I only noticed at some point that there was blood on my skies lol.

Hockey players are savages. I forget the exact details but I think it was Rich Peverley who had a stroke and in the ambulance, he asked EMT if they could take him back so he could get back in the game.

As a man with one nut.. this gag never stops amongst friends.

Me: "Man that almost hit me right in the nuts!"
Friend: "Don't you mean in the NUT?"

Haha yes thank you for reminding me that I had cancer. Good times.

(Seriously though, I use comedy / make fun of myself as a coping method and it got me through without too much despair)

Nope, it was just over 3 weeks ago. He finished the game, had surgery the next day and was told it would be 4 weeks of injury time. Came back last night, a week ahead of schedule. Edit*****and I just got the joke. Stupid me.

Eh. Buck Shelford tore his open in the first half of a rugby test. Finished (and won) the game.
/Hockey guys are tough. Rugby players are right there with them.

I knew a friend of a friend in high school who's second testicle didn't descend and all of his friends used to refer to him as 'Uni' and he would answer when people called him that. I can only imagine what kind of repressed trauma that caused.
