Excellent ballplayer, certainly one of the best third basemen of his era, caught too much shit from the franchises he played for, solid choice for the Hall.

I hate these types of selections. In his best season, 2004, his advanced batting stats were the same as the JD Drew. Seriously.

Or maybe more simply, absolutely no one will ever tell their grandkids about the time they saw Rolen play.

Okay, the bar is lowered. Now put Mattingly and the rest of the hall of almosts in.

I would have had Helton in before Rolen.

Speaking of ex-Phillies wouldnt Rollins be in before Rolen?

I argued a while back on Twitter that Rolen is very similar to Matt Williams, only Rolen stayed healthy. There wasn’t much difference. It IS weird that Rolen jumped so quick, it’s almost like he was the “accepted” choice as much as Bonds and Clemens were ostracized.

While it’s nice to see a former Blue Jay enter the Hall of Fame, this is just further bothers me that Delgado isn’t in there.
