Good to know.
On a related topic: Any "first try" recommendations for someone that only didn't touch the stuff because it was illegal?

Kinda depends what you're interested in and what kind of high you're after. The budtender will be very helpful in that regard.

If you wanna brush up on some info first, look at the different terpenes that are common are your selected dispensary, and research on what those terpenes do. It’ll give you more of an idea of a strains capabilities by the terpenes in the bud/concentrate. Taken from Google: Cannabis terpenes are similar to the more well-known compounds of THC and CBD. Like these main chemicals, marijuana terpenes have various therapeutic attributes that include analgesic, anti-anxiety, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Google: No, terpenes will not get you high. Even though some terpenes can have slight psychoactive effects, they will not get you “high” in the traditional sense. Most of the psychoactive effects of cannabis come from THC. THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol, and it is a cannabinoid, not a terpene.

Terpenes augment and enhance the THC experience. Highly recommend first timers get either flower or full extract concentrates for their first time, and don't jump straight to the THC-only edibles and vapes.
