Basically what the title says. I’m transferring over from OTC so this whole University thing is very new to me. I’ve just seen at other schools how students seem to already pretty much know each other before school starts in the fall. Am I just completely wrong or is there something I am completely missing lmao? Just wanna make some friends at uni and get out of my comfort zone.

Usually PSU will host various "new students" events, and a lot of the various student organizations will throw events around the start of the semester to get folks interested in their groups, but are a good place to meet people even if you aren't necessarily interested in the group itself.

There probably won't be anything on there now, but the msu calendar lists a lot of them closer to the semester, and there will be flyers all over psu those few weeks before classes start back up

I highly suggest the student organization route also to get together with people of similar interests. I found so many new friends that way.

When I was there a long time ago they would have a big event where the student organizations would come and set up booths. Great way to see what is available.

Almost every department has an associated club with it. I would find the club that’s associated with your desired major and go from there. That is how I met most of the people I know.

Second this, depending on your major you may get to go on trips or to conferences with the student organization that can help you in the future.
