Springfield Public Schools are hiring, just pick what you would like, pretty much every department is hiring. Just search up what you want. I know custodial starts at $15 and benefits start right away. There's retirement plans, medical insurance and so on. It would be nights though, and it is cleaning but it is a good job. I would look there or Greene County, or the City of Springfield because you might not get as great pay but you get 40 hour work weeks and defined benefits.

It takes about a month but it's well worth it. They'll give you every benefit under the sun. Weekends off, holidays off, and snow days. Custodians DO work summers so you dont have to worry about that. FREEDOM OUT THE WAZOO as long as you're getting your tasks done.

YES! One reason I stay. Plus there's no supervisor over your shoulder anymore, because like you said as long as your tasks are complete at the end of your shift, you are golden

I will say custodial is one of the only non pro positions like this. Dont expect another department to be the same.

That's for sure, all others watch you like a hawk. So to me it doesn't seem to bad half of the time
