Unfortunately the closest yarn shop is One City Market in Rogersville. There's a new art supply store called Arrow Creative Reuse that would be worth checking out!

My new favorite local cafe is Blue Heron Bakery

Absolutely do not eat at Mexican Villa, it’s for old white people that have never had Mexican food. Their salsa (they call it sauce) for their chips is like the consistency of ketchup

As someone coming from New Mexico and the border, I am picky about Mexican food. We went to a place in the area last summer and it was not what I was expecting. In New Mexico, we have red chile and green chile. That being said, Mexican food is very regional. It's extremely different in New Mexico versus Arizona.

Mexican Villa’s origin story is literally that a guy from the Midwest tried Mexican food, liked it, and decided to DIY it over a decade later, then made a whole restaurant based on the “exotic” flavors where everything that can come from a can does, and the microwaves do most of the cooking. It ranks in authenticity about the same as Taco Bell.
