I think i saw some in costco, but not sure if it’s there anymore. Walmart used to have some, but they’re not A5 japanese wagyu, they’re american wagyu, but still, for my tastebuds, they taste only slightly slightly not as good as the a5

I just checked walmart app, marketside butcher wagyu beef ribeye steak ~.5lbs for around $20 depending on weight. It’s on aisle a40 at the supercenter near me on campbell battlefield. I had that last time, the marbles were great for the price, would recommend!

Harter House on Sunshine usually has wagyu from a local ranch. I’ve never gotten it because it’s frozen and their regular meats are as good as it gets.

Harter House on Eastgate used to carry American Wagyu. It's been a while since I've been in there, but it's worth a check

I recommend Schumann Meats. That’s the best place to buy good meats in town in my opinion. Like others have said Harter House carries Papa Valley (local wagyu).

Thanks for the recommendation. I gave them a call and they’re having an issue with their supplier so it may be awhile before they have any again. But still good to know about that place 👍🏻

There is a wagyu cattle farm in Rogersville on 125 but I’m not sure if you can purchase it there.

Yeah that’s the problem I’m running into. Plenty of places local to buy online but they won’t let you go there and pick it up. Plus I like to inspect my steak before purchase.

I've bought from JB Farms in person a few times. It's real easy, just call ahead and he'll come meet you at the office at a specified time. They're real nice, and they let you look through the various cuts, marbling, etc. And the meat is fantastic.
