EDIT: Thank you everyone who helped give recommendations and advice input too! I will be getting in contact with United Plumbing and hoping for the best! 💕💕

TLDR; called Plumb-rite but they didn't know how to fix my pipes or drain issue, again. I need some help or input please!

Hello, I recently got a house and it has a pipe issues and or with the drains. If we use the shower or washer, in about 5 minutes it'll start to shoot water back up from the drains. It won't stop unless we turn it off. It'll take a good while for it to "drain" back down The toilets would bubble noises and not flush properly as well. It has leaked some water below the legs of the toilet once too.

We called Plumb-rite and they unclogged it the first time because apparently there was quiet a clog. Then about 4 days after it started happening again, and we called.

Today, 2 guys from Plumb-rite came to "fix" it but they only unclogged it again? And said they didn't know what to do, they weren't sure and said maybe it's the previous owners renovation with dirt and rocks that sit on top causing the issue...thing is they said THEY COULDN'T do anything else besides unclogging and just left after sitting outside my house by their cars for 5mins just talking? and laughing? They were also a whole hour late to get here...again like last time.

I've asked to see if there's any possible solutions maybe I could try on my own or what they may possibly think but....nothing. I know good reviews are subjective but I don't really want to call them again if all they're gonna do is "unclog" whatever.

I'm not super knowledgeable about plumbing but I've been trying to do my own research to give input and possibly learn for the future in case something happened. Y'all, I just want to use my shower and washer without pipes busting or a flood happening 🤣🤣

Sorry if this is long, I'm newish to Missouri and still trying to understand my way around here. Thank you very much!!

United plumbing is the way to go, I work with them all the time for my job and they're all great. Honestly sounds like your lateral is blocked or possibly collapsed.

That's why I was trying to talk with the plumbers who were here but they were quite dismissive to us and couldn't answer much except "I don't know/ I'm not sure".

Yeah unfortunately the "bullshit" guys show themselves pretty quickly. Basically if your lateral is blocked then they can try and do a proper cleaning on it, but if it's an older clay pipe that's collapsed then you're going to want to look into replacing it with pvc, which isn't cheap. Mike is the owner for United and quality work is the backbone to his business. I've genuinely never had any issues with any of the guys and they are all extremely kind and easy to work with. They'll tell you what's up and get you going on fixing the issue.

Do NOT call roto-rooters. Excellent service, but subpar for what you may need. All Hours Plumbing, or something like that, is what we used the first time. Excellent service, don’t overcharge, will tell you EXACTLY what is wrong before fixing it (in my experience).

A lot of plumbers will run a camera down your outside line through the outside clean out valve to see where the clog is. When I had issues like this it turned out to be tree roots growing into the sewer pipe, this is the time of year when mine would happen.

I didn't know they can run cameras! The plumber didn't mention any solution or answers to anything...

Yeah. I had this same issue this spring and they came out to clear the line with a water jet. There's a camera on the snake they feed down the line so you can see what's going on. In my case a tree root had grown into the line. (I had old clay lines). I just used roto rooter but it sounds like people here have good luck with united. I assume all of them would have similar services. Surprised the people you called didn't check your outside pipe. The bubbling toilet seems like a dead giveaway of a plugged line.

Never tried United Plumbing, just recently used Ben Franklin's Plumbing to replace my sewer line from house to city. Finished the job 1st day than backfilled the 2nd. Sounds like you are having the same issues I was having but mine remained unclogged for 3 or 4 months before it started backfilling, and gurgling toilet. If you have a clean-out drain I'd have them send a camera down to inspect your lines. I didn't have the luxury of seeing all my lines because I had a yard trap 15 or 20 feet from house they couldn't get past and I didn't have a clean-out anywhere outside. Best of luck

Here for United Plumbing! Juniors Plumbing screwed us with our rental. United actually fixed the problem and stood up for us against our landlord when the landlord tried to blame us for the issue

I'll definitely will be checking them out! From the sound of most, they seem to be the best around. I really need someone who knows the issues of these pipes/ drains🥺

We had a similar issue and had calcium build up along with a broken pipe in the yard! I hope it’s something minor
