Historically, Sunshine floods. I presume all of that construction is for storm water drainage and the plastic is probably to keep the concrete from curing too quickly. Just a guess....

So, my takeaway from that reading is that they have spare land and are putting in strip-malls and storage units. Just what we need more of.

It ain't affordable housing that's for sure.
Personally though I don't have a problem with new development. Better to have a city businesses want to invest in rather than one that they're leaving.

Yep. Underground water detention, not commonly used bc of the expense. What you commonly see around town is above-ground detention.

I think it should our spare undeveloped spaces that are not fit for building housing on should be turned into more natural spaces with native trees and plants to help with air and water quality. We have so many native trees and shrubs in Missouri that are absolutely beautiful
