It’s Springfield, north side Springfield at that. Gunshots are going to be common, so it’s not going to be covered by media unless someone is seriously hurt. If you really want more info on this nearly daily occurrence listen to police scanners after it happens

The main thing to know though is mind your own business and no one will mess with you 🤷‍♀️ leave the crackheads alone lol

It's not really even the crackheads. They would sell guns to buy more drugs.

It's the dealers and the groups that control drugs. Us being on I44 means that we are an easy drop off drug market between bigger areas.

Like it or not, Springfield is a small city and it's starting to have the problems that cities, even small ones, start to have. Theft rings, drug trade, etc.

Yeah Springfield has definitely been like this for many years, lived here my whole life. Its not “starting” to have those problems lol it’s been this way, It’s just getting worse as gangs move here from KC

I moved here in 2005. It's a bigger issue than it was when I moved here 17 years ago.

You will always have the meth heads and weed dealers. Organized crime is a little different. Seeing MS13 tags or Hells Angels/Galloping Goose or the Joplin Honkies doing stuff in Springfield is more common and yeah, a lot of it is coming from KC.

As Springfield grows, this issue will grow with it. Just like the cat convertor theft ring of the last 2 years. That's my point.

You mean we didn't before? I remember in 05-09 my school bus route having to shift once or twice due to a meth lab explosion.
