It sounds like it was near Glenstone and National/Watermill Rd intersection but no info has gone out anywhere as far as I've seen. (I did hear sirens right after so someone was definitely dispatched)

There were more than four cop cars and a guy on the ground on N Taylor last night, in that area. No news coverage though.
Right on schedule.
Follow the scanner page on Facebook. I live in this area & I heard alot of sirens before 1am which could of been the Uhaul accident off glenstone. But I didn't hear a gunshot...but it wouldn't surprise me.
That was me. My bad

You can see is someone called it in and what the response was.
It’s Springfield, north side Springfield at that. Gunshots are going to be common, so it’s not going to be covered by media unless someone is seriously hurt. If you really want more info on this nearly daily occurrence listen to police scanners after it happens
The main thing to know though is mind your own business and no one will mess with you 🤷♀️ leave the crackheads alone lol
will note that I checked that time range, and all they had was an unfounded result on a call reporting gunshots at 00:56
Well this is an interesting find, for sure thanks
It's not really even the crackheads. They would sell guns to buy more drugs.
It's the dealers and the groups that control drugs. Us being on I44 means that we are an easy drop off drug market between bigger areas.
Like it or not, Springfield is a small city and it's starting to have the problems that cities, even small ones, start to have. Theft rings, drug trade, etc.
Every time
You mean we didn't before? I remember in 05-09 my school bus route having to shift once or twice due to a meth lab explosion.
Yeah Springfield has definitely been like this for many years, lived here my whole life. Its not “starting” to have those problems lol it’s been this way, It’s just getting worse as gangs move here from KC
Springfield police and media are amazing and not letting bodies and bullets hit the news. Jail is looted with murderers we never heard about waiting on court
I moved here in 2005. It's a bigger issue than it was when I moved here 17 years ago.
You will always have the meth heads and weed dealers. Organized crime is a little different. Seeing MS13 tags or Hells Angels/Galloping Goose or the Joplin Honkies doing stuff in Springfield is more common and yeah, a lot of it is coming from KC.
As Springfield grows, this issue will grow with it. Just like the cat convertor theft ring of the last 2 years. That's my point.

It's such a frequent occurrence in town, unless someone is badly hurt, it won't make the news.
