Can't say we had good luck with at home. They failed to take care of a nuisance issue multiple times and chose not to renew us after I raised hell about said issue.

Came here to say they knowingly let me move into a unit that had bed bugs literally coming out of the walls the first week I lived there and tried to blame it on me. The bugs were coming from the unit above. And this was after they gave my unit original away after I’d already signed a lease and put a deposit down on said unit. They waited until the day I was moving in to tell me it wasn’t available anymore so I had to end up living in a basement unit with 2 windows in the entire thing. I paid for a top floor unit with French doors and windows. Was never refunded for the diff in rent. They never even seemed to care they lied to me either. They’re trash.

I'm pretty sure what they did to you was illegal

I think so too. It’s been almost 3 years now but it’s was a horrible experience from beginning to end renting from them. Still mad about the apartment haha

At Home maintained a property I was at for 2 years, no issues aside from the occasional late rent payment, which was always paid with late payment fees added and they were informed of it being late as soon as I knew it would be.

I was in the place 5 years before that. As soon as they could after lease I was informed via a letter taped to my door (no knocks or calls) that I would need to have a new place as they were uninterested in leasing to me further and that I had 45 days.

They raised the rent on that property by 450$ for the next tenant according to the neighbors I still talked to after my move.

I would recommend avoiding them if you have a choice, personally.

I looked at a duplex managed by Dizmang and it was gross. Smelled like cat piss, had litter and cat food strewn around, and there was stuff in the toilet lmao.

From what I’ve heard about At Home they’re a mixed bag because they aren’t the landlord for all of the properties they list (unless things have changed). So person A might have a great experience under landlord A, but person B may not under landlord B while both are dealing with At Home.

Rented my first apartment from at home and if I had to from them again I might consider it. Apartment itself had nasty nasty carpet and visible gaps in the windows. But I got most of my 900 deposit back once I moved out. I did rent one of their old-homes-turned-triplex close to downtown, but it was like they didn’t care about the place. Maintenance requests usually took a while to be addressed. As for weed, maintenance was never over unless I needed them and my neighbors were cool so it was no problem for me to smoke in the apartment. They even remodeled the apartments beside and above mine and never said anything.

I currently live in a Dizmang property. I like the house, though $900 for a fifty year old rwo-bed one-bath house is pretty steep. The deposits are outrageous if you have pets. I paid an $800 deposit for two dogs under 20 lbs each. Plus the $900 dollar "regular" deposit. I've never had to file a maintenance claim so can't help on that front.... but I can say as long as you pay your rent on time there is zero issue. They do not reach out unless you do and they pretty well just leave you alone altogether. Oh, one more thing; when I moved in I had asked about possible replacing the dishwasher with a newer model as the one inside is as old as the house. Their conditions for that were 1) We pay for the new dishwasher, 2) We pay them to install the new dishwasher, and 3) THEY GET TO KEEP THE DISHWASHER AFTER WE MOVE OUT. Like what the fuck?

I've had at home for about 6 months. They've been "okay". They were really particular about my renters insurance and made me use their company, which was a pita

Theyve been really hands off which i appreciate. Ive had to put in one maintence request which was resolved same day (cause i raised hell about it, sewer broken d/t construction not installing something correctly).

Apart from that I've not heard a word from them. I pay my rent on time, they don't breath all over me, it's a welcome partnership.

I rented from At Home, it was a nightmare. Furnace went out in February so they dumped space heaters on our front porch and called it good. Water heater went out, they refused to fix it so I did it myself, then they wanted to fine me for fixing the water heater. They tried to nickel and dime us out of our deposit when we moved out too. They're overall unpleasant and unprofessional people. Fuck 'em.

I have lived in a Dizmang manged property for a litte over 3 years. It's an older house with a decent amount of problems (which seems to be what the majority of their properties are like), but it's in a good neighborhood and the price is very fair.

Management has been very hands off, they have never came by (to my knowledge) to inspect the property or even called me. I pay my rent online, normally ahead of the due date, so I'm guessing that's why. . .

When I've put in maintenance requests they have taken care of the issue within one business day and the maintenance guys have been pretty chill.

If you have pets, they do ask a lot for pet a deposit and add on an extra $25 per pet each month
