What are some solid cheaper motels /hotels that accept locals with a Springfield address? I know alot don't and I can't find much info anywhere. Just need it for a night or so if anyone has any recommendations! Thanks guys!

La Quinta Inn accepts local residents. Not sure what you consider cheap but I know they aren't as expensive as others.

Alot of them around here don't allow anyone with an address within so many miles of the hotel to book a room. Prevents junkies and prostitution and all that I guess but it sucks if you just need a night away lol

used to work at a hotel. if you wanted a “night away” ya there’s not much luck there. but if your home is flooded, then typically we worked w insurance to get locals a hotel room.

i only worked there a year and we implemented a no locals policy a couple months in. prior to that, every single time i checked in a local, the room would get trashed. multiple times there were drugs involved

I don't like to post my work location publicly, but I messaged you. If your budget is tight, I'll work with you to keep you out of someplace sketchy.

AirBnBs will take locals, if you can't find a hotel.

OK one time a few years back I went all the way to Seymour to try to find a place to sleep and had booked online successfully. But when I arrived at the hotel to check in they turned me away and kept showing me an error code from their computer which was simply the numbers of my local zip code. They wouldn't explain if it meant something specific or was a coincidence and it's bugged me for years how they turned me away even though I'd paid ahead. Now I'm convinced that their system was actually set up to CHECK for this? IDK

I was about to say “another great example of a few jaggovs ruining it for the rest of us.”

But let’s be fair, it’s many more than just a few.

We stayed in that Bass Pro hotel for one night between house closing dates last year. We booked online and brought our toddler. I’m wondering now if the kiddo made a difference though. We didn’t have any issues booking or checking in.

Hotels near hospitals normally take locals. People use them for before and after chemo treatments or just staying nearby for family that are in.
