I need to replace my CV axles on my Subaru.

Are there any shops that would just do labor and allow me to bring parts?

Or a shop that is overall affordable and reliable

I’ve heard good things about Sheldon’s Muffler, what are some other good mechanics/shops I should try out?

Go to Vanzandt’s at 1100 N Grant. Very affordable and I never felt ripped off. I never did it but know other people that have brought in parts and just paid for the labor.

Greg's Automotive is great and incredibly affordable. They won't let you bring parts, but their markup is very reasonable and include warranty

Steve’s Automotive or Eaglecrest Automotive, hoth in Nixa and both are really good mechanics and have reasonably cheap labor rates.

I have been going to Cloverleaf on Glenstone for over a decade on any jobs I don't feel like doing myself. They did my CV Axles about two months ago. They had no problem when I brought them my own axles I bought and charged me $150.00 for the labor.

Polo auto sales, but they're in bolivar. Have heard good things about them from two completely unrelated parties. Which is really random.

I really like Faughts Wheel alignment in Nixa and also Bob's garage on w division street. Both have done great work for me and will allow you to bring parts.

Doug Smart at Smart Buy Tire. I’ve used him for 20 years. Great work and a fair price.

I've known Greg and his boys since I was 13 or younger (20+ years ago).. He is a great mechanic and has always done good by my mom (who goes there frequently)but the last 2 times I've gone there he has quoted me 2 or 3 times more than what faughts wheel alignment in Nixa would charge.. but I will agree he is a great mechanic.
