I think we need more affordable housing. I’m not sure this is what that will be. Someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Many of these new developments are fairly pricey apartments/lofts.

They are "luxury apartments." This new development is planned to start at between $1600 and $1800/mo.

I hope that's for family sized apartments. Is there even a demand at that price point for single inhabitant dwellings?

There is a big demand for that area, Quarry Town and Township have long waiting lists.
