I agree, I have a condition that they are concerned about but can’t book me until 3 months out. And I got labs done recently and it’s taken longer then the 3 days they said it would take to get results. It’s crazy
If at all possible see if you can find someone through Mercy network outside of Springfield. You may drive an extra 15 min but most likely will get in sooner and also get better quality care.
Dr. Rachelene Middleton is very nice and takes the time to listen. I’ve seen the nurse practitioner in her office a few times, and she is also good.
Dr Haverstick in Nixa is amazing, but Mercy as an organizational whole is awful.
Dr. Ichha Sethi on Kearney. Very friendly, Great nurses. I was extremely worried about seeing a new physician due to my previous primary physician refusing to give me antibiotics for an infection even though lab results showed one and telling me to just lose weight instead. Dr. Sethi did a great job of actually listening to me during my appointment and addressing all of the concerns I had. I will say that it does take awhile to get in, and she is booked and busy. BUT wait time in the office is very minimal.
I also struggle with anxiety, and after trying to get help for the past four years in Springfield, she was the first doctor to actually listen to my concerns and did not force me into a medication I did not want to take. I also did not feel alienated for having mental health concerns.
Dr Sethi is the best.
I highly recommend Dr. Jay Sparks with Mercy
My wife and I see Sean Tarsney MD, at Mercy Family Medicine in Smith Glynn Callaway clinic on S. National. He and the staff there have been very attentive and quick to respond to texts and emails. Dr. Middleton was mentioned in a previous post shares this office with Tarsney and Stefanie NP.
I see Dr. Chowfin at Mercy Internal Medicine as my GP and he has been very good with mental health issues. He's very nice and a good listener.
Cox. Mercy treated me like a billing number.

I’d avoid Mercy like the plague if you can help it. Unfortunately many doctors have left the system and they are having incredible problems staffing doctors and nurses. Months of inappropriate waits for appointments. Second rate and travel providers make for a frustrating experience. Skeleton office staff means very slow responses, slow rx to pharmacy, non existent follow up, lots of errors and delays from inexperienced staff. The buildings and facilities are in overall bad shape.
