Whatever happened to the diner that was supposed to open downtown? I think it was from a Newsleader article in August? Anyone know anything about it.

I heard there were some significant challenges to getting their kitchen permitted. It was going to cost a lot more than anticipated so they couldn't proceed.

We need a diner thread. Luca, Cedars, Big Biscuit, Early Bird (when you can get in). Waffle House and Steak & Shake in a pinch. RIP Smiths

Is Big Biscuit any good? Every time we've tried to go to either location they tell us it'll be at least an hour wait, and my husband isn't particularly patient. 🤣 I would like to try it out if it's worth it.

IMO, no restaurant anywhere is worth an hour wait... or rather, the places that are worth it do reservations so you never have to.

I’m assuming the money fell through because it definitely did not actually open and they’ve deleted their facebook page. Bummer, I was excited for it.
