It'd be a bit of a drive, or you may be able to.order online now, but College of the Ozarks near Branson has a mill where they make grits (and a variety of other milled products)

Also alum and they do four page (or more) spreads in the alumni magazine dedicated to how you can order grits, pancake mix, candles, jellies, fruitcakes, and all the other various products offered there online. Or, if you find yourself in the Branson area, stop in at the Keeter Center (big wooden lodge building at the entrance to the college) and they should still sell all that stuff in the gift shop. The mill is only open till 4 (or was when I worked there…some years ago…) plus it’s actually down in the campus.

I believe my family member who has some bought them online, but if you find them locally let me know! I'd love to have some not-instant ones.

The higher end grocery stores will have Bobs Red Mill grits, often with the other flours, but they're only okay
