You get more money for your stuff the more time and effort you are willing to put in selling it. Vintage stock, entertainmart, or maybe even gamestop will require all of the parts and cables, and for it to be in working condition. They give cash or trade in well under market average because they accept the loss risk and labor. Turn over in under an hour, depending on how busy they are.

Facebook marketplace will likely net you a better price, but you put in the effort in posting, dealing with scammers or choosy beggars, and waiting for someone willing to buy at whatever price you list. The question is, do you want the extra cash, or just to get it over with?

If you know which model xbox, call the businesses and ask what their going rates for trade or cash are. Vintage stock and entertainmart are the same, and all gamestops are the same. You can also ask what their sale price on them are, to give you an idea how much you should set your sale price on FB marketplace if you decide to go that route. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your insight! I've had it posted before on marketplace on Facebook, but it's kind of exhausting dealing with all the messages and low ball offers and then people who think it's a scam? Don't know why that is.. but it's just.. annoying. I've not had much luck with someone actually wanting to buy it, they just want to offer $150 or to talk shit.

But I'm going to give it another try because I know I'm not going to get what it's worth at GameStop or any of those.

It's an Xbox series X, with controller, all necessary cables, the original box it came in, still under warranty.. it's literally less than two months old.

If it's that new, have you tried taking it back to the store?

It was bought online. I mentioned that, but he didn't want to deal with the shipping and the wait.

Might be good as a gift for someone else in your family or close friends! Save yourself some shopping, just give it a factory reset and box it back up.

While this is a fantastic idea and I really appreciate the idea, I don't have anyone who would appreciate it, take care of it, etc. It'd get sold the next day for drugs.

My boyfriend just lost his job, he is wanting to sell his Xbox to get some cash quick for bills that are past due. There's a difference between the two, lol.
