I’m sure that while both parties will participate in it, a majority on the right will try to push this funding into a different department.

Unspent allocated funding is a darling on both sides of the aisle. In Illinois, the government would frequently fund social service programs, but then put restrictions on it that were hardly public. Then when the money was unspent, the governor could bypass the legislate process and spend it how he wanted. This legal corruption is a big reason why Illinois finances are so terrible. Yet they increase spending annually and say they balanced the budget.

The only difference between red and blue is where they try to push it. See Nancy Pelosi and insider trading.

Illinois politicians are the most corrupt of any other State, I swear. 😂 Growing up, we had so many nicknames for the general assembly folks and the governors. Rod Bag-of-Chips tried to sell Obama’s seat and my 8th grade History class was lit all year goofing, making fun of politicians. Don’t know how any of us passed our Constitution tests. Illinois politics exist to be made fun of. 🤣

Blagojevich was impeached, convicted, and removed from office in 2009 by the Illinois General Assembly. He was also subsequently barred by the Illinois Senate from holding public office within the state ever again. For his role in the corruption scandal, Blagojevich was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison.

Not sure why you are getting downvoted.
