Most hotels that don’t rent to locals do it because locals will rent a room and trash it while they’re strung out.

There is a hotel. On Glenstone close to the Iceman shop. Half a block away from the cemetery. So many drugs and prostitution possibly. I am not sure honestly. Keep to yourself and sleep, and smoke outside and just keep to yourself.

And there is Dogwood park, or Glenstone Corner further down. Best of luck with that.

I guess a lot of hotels won't rent rooms to locals. Apparently this (drunk?) person wants to rent a room, but they live nearby and can't find a hotel that will rent to them. It's legal for hotels to refuse to rent to anyone who lives within 40 miles of the hotel, according to this.

Do you like staying there?

Once or twice a year My husband and I will get a weekend break when one of our parents comes to town and they stay at our house with our two little kids while we get to go have a night or two away from the kids. We always get a hotel and have a night or two alone. The last couple of times this has happened I’ve been tempted to reserve our room at vandivort but haven’t actually done it yet. They are a little more pricey but I’m assuming it’s worth it? I’ve been waiting to hear from someone who’s stayed there to find out if they say it’s for sure worth it or not

I know Baymont inn, arbor suites by the mall and oasis hotel on north glenstone will rent to locals if you put down a deposit.

I’ve done this personally at both oasis and arbor suites. Both places let me pay the deposit in cash and gave it back to me upon checkout after looking at the room

Also the hotel on sunshine and glenstone, I believe it’s call VIB… they rented to us once when we had an emergency at our house (furnace went out in winter and landlord couldn’t get someone to us for 48 hours) We decided to get a hotel and they happened to be like the first or second one we called… we explained the situation and after being put on hold for a minute, the guy came back on said no problem. No deposit was required and the rooms were really nice. The guy at the front desk even gave us 20% off when we arrived to check in and pay. I don’t know the hotels SOP when renting to locals but they were amazing when we needed them

Lyft says they'll take you to the Willard city center from my location (roughly central Springfield) for ~$30. As someone who works in one of these hotels that doesn't rent to locals, I can confirm that this is much cheaper than staying anywhere that isn't disgusting or dangerous. It's even a little cheaper than staying in a few places that are dangerous and disgusting. You could Lyft to there and back in the morning for a little less than what you'd pay if you stayed at my hotel with a discount, and I'm not supposed to give discounts to drunk people or locals for whom I am making an exception.
