Looking for a weekly trivia night in town. We currently go to Galloway Station’s Wednesday trivia, but the host and format are increasingly insufferable. Anyone know of another weekly spot?

Finnegan’s Wake does trivia every Wednesday night at 7! It’s a much more relaxed and fun atmosphere than your average trivia night!

Thanks for the info! Do you know how many people they allow on a team?

Can you tell us about the host and what the format is?

The host is the GM and he has been hosting and writing trivia there for something like 7 years!

There’s 4 rounds: General knowledge Speed Visual Music

They have small prizes every round and gift certificates for money off your tab the next trivia night!

Ever since Trivia Binge stopped at Patton Alley we’ve been itching to find a new one. Sounds like we should try Finnegan’s wake. We have played the KSMU Trivia fundraiser at BrewCo a couple times but it’s only every couple months.

I sure do miss Payton Alley. I’ve heard of the KSMU fundraiser trivia nights. I get it’s charity but it’s hard for me to pay for trivia when there’s free options.

Yeah I get it but they do feed you and the food both times has been really good. And they give you two free beers. So really the $20 is worth it and it’s hosted by Kyle and Lauryl who used to do the trivia at Patton Alley. And if you like what NPR does then the money is for a good cause.

I am a huge NPR fan. And that’s great too know, it does sound like a good deal. Galloway Station has shit food so we’ve stopped eating there on trivia nights. I’d much prefer SBC food. I assume it’s $20/person?

Is it general trivia or all movie trivia?

GundleFly t1_j3zq6b8 wrote

From what I remember it’s general, but they will do themed ones every so often.

It’s mostly move trivia but there are also takeover weeks that are tv or sports themed.

I was wondering this too cause I checked their Facebook page and every week had a movie or TV era/topic listed. I was worried it was all movies and TV which wouldn’t be good for our group.

I just saw Holdfast posted a trivia night picture on Instagram. I don’t know anything more than that, but could be fun!
