Some of you may remember a post I made a few weeks ago regarding our CSA and market produce information. We are currently working with the Farm Service Agency for a loan to expand, and apparently its a significant process to prove we are needed.

I have 25 amazing people who have signed up to support us and are on our newsletter. I need at least 50 people to prove there is a valid need and customer base to prove Little Ag is just as necessary, if not moreso, than Big Ag.

PS. Everyone who signs up to help us will get 10% OFF their 1st season produce box!

🤗 TIA!!

You're telling me that the Farm Service Agency, a government entity, uses email newsletter subscriber count as a factor when giving out loans?

I ran a federal grant-funded (admittedly, not a FSA loan though) CSA before and no, this was not a thing used to gauge anything.

I’m not disparaging OP’s methods or disagreeing with what they’re saying but this does seem to be a really odd request from an agency.

Just started the farm business this year, but have prior experience and all that. I'm 36 and grew up farming. 😁 You can find me on LinkedIn as well.
