I'll never understand this complaint. Charging at 210w is not mandatory. Nothing is stopping you charging at 5-15w when you don't need it.

A replacement battery costs £10-15. If you have the tools, it takes 10-15 mins to change. 3-4 years of quick charging, in return for this, is a great trade.

If you don't have the tools then your local repair shop will probably charge you £30.

There are many things that determine battery lifespan. Apple iphones tend to lose 15-20% of their battery capacity within 18 months, despite being some of the slowest charging phones you can buy on the market.

As a repair technician, the honest truth? Most people drop and break their phones long before the battery degradation becomes an issue.

I guess at the price point they figured people would upgrade long before they notice the degradation in capacity.
