Well don't worry, they absolutely do make it more dangerous.

Dangerous but also take always jobs from humans. Same with self checkout at the store.

Safety standards for robot systems in the US are much more stringent than places like China. But with that being said, it's always up to the integrator to make sure the safety systems are built and function according to those standards.

Robots for menial tasks is pretty much inevitable.

High turnover rate with little to no training is the issue.

Lets be real, this is just part of the transition to lights-out warehouses with full automation, there is no future of blended warehouses.

Although if you have both economy-wide labor shortages and shortages of infrastructure and resources to absorb immigrants or newborns (for instance due to aging plus supply constraints) there ain’t much of a choice.

It's gonna take a good decade still to get the one I work at up to blended status alone.

Then end if life rotation followed by another round of full automation and removal of human-assist setups.

It's taking way too long!

Problem is efficiency and output will increase but wages and social benefits will not. Until we have a total culture revolution this will continue until robots perform all the work and most humans live in poverty. Wage slaves doing tasks robots just don't do. Hell, in parts of the world already humans are valued less than robots. More expendable.

Having seen the layouts and knowing it is 100% sectioned off I feel pretty confident this is anti-Amazon sensationalism

Sucks that people complain about higher wages but within a few more years when Amazon goes all robotic and make their job obsolete. Healthcare is one of the few fields that has to be human interactions.
