Of course but that's why we need unions. To give power to the workers who don't inherently have as much leverage.

And also as we've seen with Amazon recently, warehouse workers aren't as abundant anymore when your turnover rate is above 100% per year.

But since I'm not from the US maybe I just don't know anything about anything :D

Tell me u don’t know how economics work.. lol so read this

Union want what they think is better wage but companies run on supply demand .. it’s market and their skills that decide what they are worth… let’s take hypothetical company with union workers if all over industry they are paid similar than this company will also try to pay same.. if they pay same then they can market their product in competitive range but unions want more wage so if content agree to increase wage they have to transfer extra price increase in goods to customers… so customer will not but their product and that company will take loss.. that content will take loss then they have to fire workers or risk going under if finances are not managed.. now u tell me those employees were making at least some money before union used their card now they are unemployed but they will blame this on company not union but root cause was union asked inflated salary for their members which was not possible in market scenario.. now u may ask why not union whole industry.. if u union whole industry then too u will face similar consequences but this time it will take toll on whole industry.. if cars become expensive from every company then people won’t buy them and go to use bike or public transport instead.. thousands of employees will go unemployed and earn nothing.. so will u be happy??

Maybe it'd help if CEOs didn't take millions in salaries for themselves and used that to pay their workers. Companies like apple don't have to pass down the increase in wages to be their customers. And we've seen that they can just price hike their iPhones to 1000€ for the base tier model and people still buy it. So either was this wouldn't be that big of an issue. Just pay your people a living wage and give them healthcare, Jesus Christ!

Have u asked why Hollywood stars make millions?? Why basketball players, singers artist all earn so high?? What work they do?? Just play sing act .. what brain function do they have to use?? Ceo is paid way less than those guys and his job depend on his work.. if he can’t turjn company into better one than it won’t be able to hire new employees isn’t it?? And those stakeholders traded their hard work for shares of company in hope of that company pay them some profit for believing .. so ceo has to use all his might.. a good ceo is difference between apple and blackberry as company

No one individual deserves or needs that much money. Not artists, not entrepreneurs. Hospital CEOs are one of the worst when it comes to this. Intentionally understaffing their facilities to the point of mentally breaking their personell, yet making millions themselves and then blaming (or even suing) their workers for wanting to quit and find a better job. It's nonsense

Is their skills and hardwork that gives them money lol.. stop being salty and do what u want in life.. they earned it by dragging their ass f@@@ hard everywhere.. if company perform bad they gets fired and their cv ruined forever and very rare they get new job .. is high risk high reward

And the hard work and skills of medical staff is what keep us alive! Shouldn't we ensure that they can live a good life because that will ultimately make life better for everyone who has to get healthcare (which is everyone at some point)? Like yeah sure CEOs got their "grindset" or whatever but how many people did they have to exploit and leave in the dust to get there? If they wouldn't care as much about their profit then I wouldn't care as much either. But the fact that most CEOs of large companies are more focussed on their own gain than the well-being of their workers is just so evil to me

Edit: and also: maybe CEOs have such a hard time getting a new job that isn't CEO because they lack basic skills you need for most jobs

Doctors are most of well paid jobs in whole country … high skilled job in demand and small pool of people to pick … there is no problem for any doctor.. and if he worry so much about customer why not start a free of cost health clinic and we will see how long will he sustain it .. it’s not easy living in a market world … many jobs are connected and again stop being salty .. these ceo have years of experience in industry go to top h school by taking huge loans .. and try to live whole life doing their jobs .. they don’t enjoy paid vacation beach side but work to keep their jobs and maintain trust from stakeholders who put their life savings in companies share .. so u should maybe consider those stakeholders too as human .. everyone has ambitions to live good life and rich life … if they live as they wanted why u getting so jealous ?? Becuse u are poor and using Reddit wasting time don’t entitled u to live equivalent life of those who strive for success and live doing 100 hrs per week continuously … one mistake one bad pr for company and confidence lost in company by share holders .. that’s risk job they work .. handling billions of money worth business is it easy as typing on Reddit

Yesss you finally pulled "poor Redditor just jealous" card! Classic. Guess I just got destroyed by facts and logic. I understand that business owners have to keep their business alive. What I dislike is that they think their shareholders are more important than they employees. That's why unions are a good way to put pressure on those suits and remind them of the needs of their workforce.

And yes I am just a Redditor ranting about the economy of a foreign country, but that's because to me the US' system is so obviously fundamentally broken that it's baffling as to why so many people seem to just be okay with it

As I said that is exactly what some nurses were trying to do during the pandemic when their employer tried suing them and force them to keep working for the company. So the issue is more that managers just don't seem to understand that if they want to keep people working for them they have to actually listen to their issues. "Just work somewhere else lul" is not an argument against unions. Just as "just move to a better place" is not an argument against trying to stop climate change

Climate has been changing on this planet for millions of years and will happen for millions of years more.. this earth will survive at least as much as sun … till then neither us nor future generations need to worry and animals have come and gone but planet stayed even after a meteor strike this planet got liveable again so don’t worry
