Possibility of leaking fuel injectors allowing fuel to accumulate outside of the combustion chamber.
Definitely not good.
At least they reduce engine output automatically if pressure drops are detected.

15 years ago I used to work for GM. Certain models would catch fire after hard braking because it would cause the fluids to escape the engine.
Turns out it was not just hard breaking and some houses caught on fire.
