I’m grown up, and imo “He was stupid” is not a moral defense to fraud any more than “He was weak” is a moral defense to assault.

No. Taking financial advice from an influencer who knows nothing about the subject is just plain stupid. Just like sticking your tongue in an electric socket. You deserve what happens
