Or just charge a few times a week. If you live in an apartment and have a super long commute, what’s the point?

That's the thing - my commute is ~3 miles. An electric car would be great - I just have no way to charge one at work or at home.

With most modern EVs you could cover that sort of usage by charging your car for 20 minutes once a month at a fast charger. Plug in, reply to a few emails or get on social media for 15 minutes and be on your way.
