Rewatching this now. Forgot how damn good this show is. I love everything about it.

I haven't seen it talked about much on this sub since I've joined. So if you haven't seen this show, definitely give it a try!

So amazing. The cancellation, despite the cliffhanger, ended the show on an ironically fitting note.

My favorite theory was that the show cancellation was part of the 'ruse' and we would actually get another season.

I love this show and this is probably the show I am the saddest didn't get to make more. The show wore it's heart on its sleeve and loved it form beginning to end. If anyone likes this I would recommend giving Sense8 a shot

I remember cringing watching their aerobics session in the school (ending of S1 I think?) but the concept of the show is pretty cool and the next season is quite fun.

Brit Marling has done some nice sci fi stuff and it's quite a shame she does next to nothing now...

Another Earth, Sound of My Voice, and I Origins were among my favorite movies of the last ten years. She's phenomenally talented.

Another Earth is something I can't even properly describe to people, it's so mesmerizing

100%. It's one of my favorite movies ever. Top 10.

As a writer and actor, she taps into interesting stuff - emotionally, psychologically, and existentially. She's not super prolific, but that's okay. I'll always look forward to Brit Marling's projects.

Yea this is seriously underrated.

I honestly seem to forget it myself even from time to time. Then someone brings it up.

Been a very long time since I've seen it. And only saw it once. Need to track it down.

The funny thing is that I specifically remember it being shit on and disliked on Reddit while season 1 was out. People thought that the hand movements were cheesy.

Once it got cancelled though the show became really beloved. It's still one of my favorite shows of the past decade.

I think the people that shit on it probably mostly moved on, and the people that still talk about are the ones that loved it.

I can get why it breaks stuff for some people. But I decided to go all in, cut my disbelief suspenders off and jump all in and never regretted it.

Well, maybe except the time when I learned it was cancelled. That sucked. But... It's better to have a cancelled OA than never have experienced the OA, or something like that.

I liked season 1 more than 2. Felt more focussed and absorbing. But season 2 was essential in introducing more concepts and laying out the groundwork for the next seasons. Shame we didn’t get it.

The OA makes me feel like no other television show.

I still haven’t decided if it’s one of the best TV shows ever or one of the worst.

I had watched this show immediately after Stranger Things. I absolutely loved it. I am looking forward to rewatching The OA soon!

I loved it, but I'm really sad they canceled it at a cliffhanger.

The cancelation of this show is what made me hate Netflix.

You know, maybe it isn't a bad idea to do another rewatch... To get caught in Brit and Batmanglij tale again, be mesmerized once more. It might have been long enough.

The first season was a bunch of meandering dull shit with the dumbest ending ever filmed.

I never bothered with the second season.

I think the cliffhanger works especially because it is so satisfying to see the reveal.

I loved this show but I haven't rewatched it because the season 2 finale will piss me off even more now.

I thought the first season was great and I liked all the corny elements in it.

Second season I thought was considerably less interesting, especially turning the whole thing into "alternate worlds" which has been done way too many times. Though I did like the episodes with the kids.

I liked both seasons though they were both different. I do wish we had gotten another season because of the way it ended. Shame.

I thought season 2 was awful... Like nigh unwatchable.

Season 1 was alright though. At least entertaining.
