For example, Lost? is now a sitcom about a group of buddies who work at a mall information desk. They are constantly poking fun at the people who come to the desk and giving out bad info. Eventually they realize they are in hell and this is their punishment.

You mean Ross's perspective? Everyone constantly mocks him and his interests. If he wasn't Monica's brother there's no way any of them would hang out with him, they all clearly hate him, especially Phoebe.
Well that too, But Chandler constantly mocks everyone like he's a self insert by somebody who hates the show. He's basically the proto-Brian Griffin.
